Shiva’s yoga journey began with Ashtanga, a practice that grounded her mind, strengthened her body, and offered a steady sense of peace amid the pace of everyday life. After six years in the corporate world studying business management, she felt a clear pull toward something more meaningful. She followed that instinct — all the way to India — where she immersed herself in workshops, discipline, and the roots of this practice. It was there that movement, alignment, and breathwork shifted from something she learned to something she lived.

Returning to Toronto, Shiva explored fashion management for a time, but her dedication to yoga kept leading her home to the mat. Today, she teaches Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha, and Ashtanga, weaving together traditional alignment, breath-led flow, and mindful, intuitive movement. Her classes are nurturing and empowering, offering space for students to build strength, find presence, and soften into their own inner steadiness.

A curious traveller and lover of nature, Shiva draws inspiration from the world around her. Time spent in new places and quiet landscapes continues to shape her teaching — grounding, spacious, and always connected to what truly matters.
