Supriya Sethi (she/her)

Teacher

Supriya’s relationship with yoga began long before she entered a studio. Raised in a Hindu family where meditation and breath were part of daily life, she carried these early teachings quietly within her. Years of studying classical Indian dance deepened her connection to movement, but also brought the demands of performance—yoga became her refuge, and later, a path back to the roots she instinctively understood.
In 2018, she travelled to the Big Island of Hawaii for her first 200-hour Hatha/Vinyasa training, where a nearby volcano erupted mid-course—a lesson in surrender to raw, elemental force. She went on to complete a second 200-hour Ashtanga-based training in Mexico, alongside Reiki and embodiment studies, and refined her craft through a mentorship at Yoga Flow in San Francisco.
Supriya’s classes are slow and intentional, often laced with hands-on assists, the teachings of the Yoga Sutras, and sequences that flow like a dance. She invites students to explore breath, movement, and stillness as pathways to balance and reconnection.
