Earth Hour April 22

We at The Hummingbird Field have searched for ways to create some kind of Earth Day action which would go beyond the usual suggestions of reducing, reusing and recycling. Despite the importance of encouraging these practices, clearly they’re not effective enough. Like the unexpected actions of our Mother now grabbing our attention, causing us to more seriously consider how we are hurting her/ourselves, and feeble as it may be, THF is choosing to offer a stronger message by exercising an action of inconvenience by not heating any of our classes on Earth Day (April 22). Although this an action of carbon reduction on this day, it is more intended as an inconvenient shakeup of sorts, attempting to bring more attention to the dire need for more action toward protecting our one and only shared home. It’s an action intended to reflect our increasing global experience where we realize that something we enjoy, and possibly take for granted, could no longer be available to us one day.

Day of Pause

The Global Event Like No Other

Day of Pause is an intentional and loving global shutdown. This day is reserved annually for experiencing humanity collectively choosing something different for one day. To pause, so that we may create a moment together outside of fear. To pause so that we may observe what is behind our drive to ‘get back to normal’. To pause to realize what we thought was normal, and to now understand what we truly care about, feeling what is truly important to us, and determining if we’re living in alignment with this importance. Please choose to join us.

International Women's Day

International Women’s Day was largely created to give the deserved recognition to the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, to spotlight the sad imbalance of gender parity, and to celebrate the gift to us all that is Woman. All female-identifying and trans-feminine folx practice with our compliments on (date TBA, 2026.

Self-Discovery Meditation Workshop

From physical pain, to depression, to thoughts of hopelessness, all these experiences and more can rise from our misalignment with where we are truly called to be in our lives. In this 60 minute workshop Don will take you into a deep meditative state where we shed many of the roles we carry and see ourselves in, which might be holding us back from our more truthful living. If you feel in your being that you are meant to follow a different calling, this journey may be of great benefit to you.

World Fart Out Loud Day

Each year, the 15th of September is recognized as World Fart-Out-Loud Day. On this day, all peoples of the world are encouraged to allow for the very natural body function of flatulence (farting) to ring loud and true. Consider it a societal let-go that is long overdue…
