Anand Ondhia (he/him)

Teacher

Since his very first brush with yoga, this practice symbolized for Anand an immensely powerful tool for self-directed healing. He experienced intimately the effectiveness of using simple yoga postures and refined breathing, to relieve bodily pain, mental stress and calm erratic energy levels. Anand has been happily engaged in his personal practice of meditation and asana since 2008, and has been offering classes since his Modo Yoga Teacher Training in Montreal in 2013.

Using an accessible approach in applying the core principles of yoga to every student’s needs, he has taught many different styles and levels, including Modo, Yin, Chair, Restorative, Vinyasa, and Flow. Anand followed up his Modo Yoga training with an advanced training in Flow Yoga, taught by senior yoga teacher Bibi Rahim-Hahn.

As a current Master’s student of Osteopathy, Anand enjoys sharing his understanding of the body’s anatomy and mechanics in his classes. Anand’s teaching style is enriched by his explorations into many other arts and personal interests, including Buddhist teachings, Mindfulness Meditation, Floatation Therapy and Competitive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
